What's the difference between bovine collagen and marine collagen?
Bovine collagen is sourced from cow hide whilst marine collagen is sourced from fish skin and scales. There are different 'Types' of collagen. Type 1 and Type 3 collagen are the most abundant types of collagen found in our skin, hair, nails and muscles. Whilst bovine collagen contains large amounts of Type 1 and Type 3 collagen, marine collagen primarily contains Type 1.
What are collagen peptides?
Collagen peptides (also known as hydrolysed collagen) are made up of the same amino acids as collagen, but in much shorter chains than regular collagen, meaning they are more easily absorbed into the blood. We use collagen peptides in The Glow Booster.
How much collagen should I take per day?
A 2019 study into collagen supplementation states the daily recommended effective intake of collagen peptides to be between 2.5g and 15g of collagen per day, meaning a daily serving of The Glow Booster (containing 10g of collagen peptides) puts you in a great place.
Why should I believe this product will work?
All our products have been formulated by expert nutritionists using science-backed research supported by peer-reviewed clinical trials. You can read some of these clinical studies by clicking here. Our products work because we focus on the following things above all else - the ingredients we use, the quality of these ingredients, their concentrations and how well they're absorbed by your body. Our unwavering commitment to that approach means what you get are the highest quality, cleanest supplements in the world today - without any BS.
Collagen has recently come to the fore in the world of nutritional supplements due to research now demonstrating a number of benefits. Although once criticised for not being a ‘high quality’ protein it does contain a number of useful amino acids - the building blocks of the protein - especially useful for the formation of the connective tissues in the body. Whilst this ability to support hair, skin and nail health are often the headline benefits, collagen is becoming more popular amongst athletes with research showing that consuming collagen can reduce joint pain and improve joint function. Additionally, collagen is readily mixable in powder form and easy on the stomach.
Our ingredients
With so many “miracle” ingredients being touted out there, it can be hard to know what really works. We believe evidence-based ingredients are the best way to better health. With decades of clinical studies behind these active ingredients showing how they can improve skin elasticity, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and boost natural radiance, we're confident that you’ll thank us later.
Per Serving:
Hydrolysed Collagen Peptides (10g): The most abundant protein in your body and the major component of the connective tissues found in your skin, hair and nails. As we age, collagen levels fall, which can result in a decrease in your skin’s structural integrity, supporting the benefits of collagen supplementation. We use bovine collagen, rich in collagen Types 1 and 3. These are the most prevalent types of collagen within our bodies and the most effective when it comes to skincare as well as health hair, nails, tendons, ligaments and bones. References > 1, 2.
Hyaluronic Acid (100mg): Revered for its ability to hydrate and alleviate dry skin to keep it looking supple and radiant. Skin ageing is commonly associated with loss of skin moisture. The key molecule involved in skin moisture is hyaluronic acid, which has a unique ability to bind and retain water molecules. This ingredient can be found increasingly in skincare products where it offers multi-depth skin hydration and helps maintain dermal moisture. The result? Plumper looking skin that appears firmer with visibly less wrinkles. References > 3, 4.
Vitamin C (300mg): When you think of vitamin C, you automatically think of a stronger immune system. What many don’t know is that vitamin C also stimulates the body’s natural ability to make collagen as well as acting as a potent antioxidant that protects against UV damage. Supplementing with vitamin C is especially important as you age and your body’s natural collagen production slows down. References > 5, 6.

Why it's special
Collagen
Collagen gives skin cells their firmness and elasticity, as well as playing a role in the make up of hair, nails, cartilage, ligaments, tendons and bone. As we age, collagen production naturally decreases in the body, which can lead to wrinkles and sagging of the skin. Collagen supplementation can help to ward off this process by topping up collagen levels, keeping skin looking supple and radiant.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid retains water in the skin to keep it hydrated and moisturised. A loss of skin moisture is most commonly associated with skin ageing. Studies have found that hyaluronic acid can significantly decrease the appearance of wrinkles, and enhance firmness and elasticity. Don’t be put off by the name, especially that word 'acid' - hyaluronic acid is found naturally in the body.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C assists in antioxidant protection against sun damage, providing an extra shield against those powerful rays. It does this by protecting skin cells from the damaging free radicals caused by UV exposure. It's also responsible for encouraging your body's natural ability to produce collagen; something that slows down as you age. Research has also shown that vitamin C also inhibits your production of melanin, reducing hyperpigmentation and helping even out skin tone. Don’t forget your suncream though…
