Vitamin C, or L-ascorbic acid, is an essential vitamin with antioxidant properties. Whilst the saying goes 'you can never have too much of a good thing' - this isnt strictly true. Vitamin C isn't harmful, but if you have too much in a day, you may experience some unpleasant short-term side effects like nausea and maybe diarrhoea, so be sure not to go above 200mg.
