What are the amino acid breakdowns for each Innermost Blend?

Not all sources of protein are created equal. In fact, the quality of a protein powder is determined by its amino acid profile, which represents the individual building blocks of protein.

There are nine amino acids that are considered to be essential amino acids (EAAs). Your body doesn’t produce these naturally and must get them from your diet. Three of those nine EAAs are regarded as the most important and are called branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs). These are leucine, isoleucine and valine.

It’s established that BCAAs, and in particular leucine, stimulate protein synthesis, and might do so to a greater extent than a normal protein on its own. Research suggests at least 2g of leucine per serving is the minimum your body needs t0 kickstart protein absorption. The other two amino acids, valine and isoleucine, are considered glucogenic, meaning they can be converted to glucose and used as an energy source during exercise.

Without further ado, please find below the amino acid breakdown of each of our superfood protein blends paying special attention to our leucine levels.

The Strong One, The Fit One and The Lean One (per serving)
EAAs = 14g
BCAAs = 7g
Leucine = 3g

The Health One (per serving)
EAAs = 12g
BCAAs = 6g
Leucine = 2g

* Numbers provided for the vanilla version of each Blend.
